Okay, so here's the deal.... my lil 'ol job is to bring a bright cheery smile to your beautiful faces by showing you something BLUE and pretty...AND how to create it yourself!! So check out the list of instructions below!!
Materials you'll need:
1. A good adhesive; my favorite is E6000.
2. Double looped jewelry connectors (see photo below); I think the little lacy filigree ones are puuuuurdy!!
3. Earring of your choice; my preference are the French wire earrings.
4. Something pretty and sparkly, such as the vintage glass jewels that I'm using.
5. Cabochons (the little cream colored flowers in the photo); the ones that I use are 10mm, which is a perfect size for the filigree connectors I use!
6. 4mm jump rings.
7.A set of jewelry pliers; you can buy inexpensive ones at Michael's, or any other crafts store.
7.A set of jewelry pliers; you can buy inexpensive ones at Michael's, or any other crafts store.
8. A piece of foil or parchment paper.
Assembly time!!
1.Lay down your foil or parchment paper.
2.Apply a small, thin layer of the E6000 to the back of your cabochon, and adhere it to your jewelry connector. Gently press down.
3.On your foil or parchment paper let dry. I would recommend 24 to 72 hrs dry time before handling roughly.
4.Take a jump ring and your set of pliers and gently open the jump ring.
5.Take your connector that has dried and slip the jump ring through the bottom loop of your connector, then take your jewel of choice and slip it on as well. Close the jump ring, both pieces should now be connected.
6.Now take your earring of choice and slip it through the top loop of your connector.
Your done....simple as that folks!!!
Here's what your final product should look like:
Now in the event that you don't feel like making these yourself I have decided to give these little beauties away!!

ReplyDeleteHi Tiffany - your work is beautiful. I checked it out and love Flight of the Monarch Butterfly. Maybe because my son's nature class today was all about butterflies. Did you know that the lifecycle of the butterfly can be presented with dried pasta and beans glued to paper leaves and then to a paper plate? Sorry I digress. I am a little tired tonight . . . Happy Day to you!
